Ive now officially re-released mou.me.uk, based on the WordPress framework.

For me this is pretty huge. It means leaving the warm, snuggly comfortable arms of ASP, and moving onto a language I’m still technically ‘learning’. This should be interesting, for a few weeks at least…

There will probably be a few more changes to the site before the end of May, hopefully all for the better. AJAX search (courtesy of Google) will be added as soon as I’m back on the Google index, and once I’m done tweaking I need to do a full audit of my theme code, which should speed up the site a bit.

Being relatively new to blogging, Ive decided to take a leaf out of the book of a colleague of mine and so I’ve set myself some ground rules:

This is my personal site. Im not being paid to blog, so I can stop if I need/want to.

I don’t have to feel guilty about not posting for a while. And it doesn’t mean I’ve “given up”.

Try to stick to what I like rather than what I hate. The market for over-opinionated bloggers is already pretty saturated.

So yeah, thats me done for now. Back to my dissertation <img
